Meet The Staff

Emily went through our trainers’ course and has been training with us for four years. She has been the Training Director Since 2022. She is a natural! She was a trained actress and uses those talents to help mimic behavioral tells to our service dogs. She also uses those talents to teach owners how to be actors while training their canine companions.

Emily also competes in AKC obedience trials and is consistently in the ribbons.

Gracie went through our trainers’ course and has been training with us for three years. She brings a ton of energy and positivity to her training.

She has great enthusiasm and a great work ethic which is why she makes a great manager. The dogs naturally love Gracie’s positive nature and infectious personality. They look forward to seeing her every day. So do her co-workers as she makes everyone have a better day!

Gracie also competes in AKC obedience trials and is consistently in the ribbons.

Affectionately nick named “Lion Tamer” Carter was a Carnivore Keeper at the Nashville Zoo for several years. Always having a love for animals of all types she started out as a marine biologist before getting into Zoology. She has now entered the dog training field and is taking to it like a fish to water. Carter is currently in our trainers’ program.

Alexa had taken a six-month long trainer’s course in North Carolina and then joined the K-9 Companions team. She has now completed our trainers’ course and has become a Certified Trainer with K-9 Companions.

Alexa is fluent in Spanish which is an added plus for our Hispanic clientele.

Grace came to us after being a pre-school teacher for several years. We always say our trainers have the temperament of pre-school teachers with all the care and concern for their students. Patience, care, and compassion is what Grace is all about. She is fitting right in and making a great trainer. Grace is currently in our trainer’s course.
